The service was held in the community space at the Queen’s Gardens to make connection a little easier.
“We are a church for the community and welcome anybody from the Greater Shepparton area to come and join as we gather on Sundays,” Pastor Todd Hall said.
“This time though we took our service into the community space at the Queen’s Gardens to make connection a little easier for people to see us and come along.
“We gather at the Queen’s Garden two times a year, making the most of the glorious weather and the beautiful gardens that the City of Greater Shepparton has provided the community with.
“This year we spoke from Mark 10 in the Bible, about how greed for riches can blind us from the bigger reality of Jesus and the eternal life He offers us.”
Pastor Hall thanked the large team of volunteers from the church who assisted on the day and also thanked council.
The service was followed by face painting, badge painting and a free barbecue.
The church normally meets in rented premises at the Shepparton Harness Racing Club in Melbourne Rd.
