The final was played on Tuesday afternoon in warm conditions, between Lynne and Ross Ewison against Annette Norman and Col Hendren. Lynne and Ross got away to a great start winning the first 4 ends, both Col and Annette started to get their line and length and had some very good ends. A very close and exciting game with Col and Annette getting over the line by 1 shot. Congratulations to both pairs on a very exciting final.
The first rounds of the Men’s and Ladies Pairs were played on Sunday, winners will progress to the next round – Genise McFarlane and Eileen Ide defeated Sue Dawson and Annette Norman - Maree Lewis and Pam Tobias defeated Judy Willett and Sue Curtis – Col Hendren and Geoff Smethurst defeated Ross Ewison and Ray Agar – Graeme McIntosh and Steven Rodway defeated Bruce and Adam Corcoran – next round – Maree Lewis and Pam Tobias defeated Maureen Hutson and Caroline Lewis - Adam Larkin and Brendan Leach were defeated by Steve Rodway and Graeme McIntosh.

Entries are now open for the Men’s and Ladies Club Singles which will be played on Sunday, October 30, add your name to sheet on the notice board in the tunnel.
60 and Over will be played at Civic on Thursday, October 13.
Information Evening – The information evening was held on Thursday explaining the forthcoming pennant season, there was a good turnout of members in attendance. President Pam pointed out some of the new equipment that is on order for the club and thanked the hard-working volunteers who turn up each week doing jobs around the club that most of us are unaware of, and keeping the club running smoothly.
Pennant Practice – Last Saturday, October 1 a social/pennant practice was held in sunny conditions, the winners were – Maureen Hutson, Ned Young and Estelle Hollingsworth – Runners Up – Lynton Ford, Genise McFarlane and Ray Agar – 3rd – John White, Col Webb, Sue Dawson and Adam Larkin.
The game against Rutherglen had to be abandoned due to the wet conditions of the green at Rutherglen. A practice was held on Saturday afternoon at the Civic Club, a good turn up of over 40 members participated. The greens are running very well, especially after all the rain we have had.
The first round of pennant will get under way on Saturday – Division A2 will be home to Corowa RSL – Division B2 away to Tungamah and Division B3 away to Beechworth. Midweek will start on Tuesday, October 18– Division A2 travel to Rutherglen - Division A3 home to Club Mulwala – Division B2 away to Corryong. The club wish all members a successful season.
