Man charged over Echuca hit and run

A SECOND man has been charged over a hit and run in Echuca earlier this year.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives arrested Daniel Norris on Tuesday and charged him with offences relating to a motorcycle collision which injured a pedestrian in March.

The 34-year old Epsom man was remanded in custody overnight and appeared in Bendigo Magistrates' Court today.

He was remanded in custody to appear next Tuesday for a bail application.

Josh Abbott, charged with negligently causing serious injury, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and render assistance and dangerous driving causing serious injury also appeared in the same court.

A male pedestrian was on the Campaspe River walking track between McKenzie St and Campaspe Esplanade when he was struck by a motorcycle about 12.15am on March 10.

The 39-year-old victim, who suffered head injuries, was airlifted and spent months in the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

His matter was adjourned to September 4.
