While COVID-19 regulations prevented the school from hosting its traditional farewell assembly with parents and friends, and in-school graduation was still enjoyed.
The 40 Year 12 students started the day with a traditional graduation breakfast of bacon and egg rolls.
Students then participated in ‘muck up day’ pranks on teachers, staff and fellow students before the formal presentation of the graduation certificates by principal Jeff Ward.
Mr Ward said Year 11 students paid tribute to the senior class in a series of speeches, including incoming vice captain Rose Chamberlain.
Year 12 coordinator Tim McCarney also shared his memories of the year group.
‘‘After the formal assembly, Year 12 students and staff moved to the Finley Recreation Reserve clubrooms for a luncheon prepared by staff,’’ Mr Ward said.
‘‘To make the day similar to previous years, high school staff created formal set menus, prepared a photo booth and had a custom cake.
‘‘Students finished the day with teacher versus student games.’’
While the students have been officially farewelled by the school, there is still some work to do before they officially complete Year 12.
Students will start their written HSC exams on Tuesday, October 20 with English.
The final exam on the timetable is Wednesday, November 11, which is drama.
