On Tuesday, October 14, Tallygaroopna Primary School took centre stage, turning traditional fairytales on their heads with its original production, UNHappily Ever After.
Performed at the Tallygaroopna Soldiers’ Memorial Hall, this enchanting adventure follows a group of children who are mysteriously transported into fairytales.
Their mission? To help the so-called villains find happiness.
Students from Foundation to Year 6 all had a part to play in this lively pantomime.
The narrative was led by the Year 4 to 6 students, while each year level contributed songs, dances and surprising cameos from adventurers hunting for “dangerous creatures”, as well as singing and dancing frogs and birds.
Written, choreographed and directed by Tallygaroopna Primary performing arts teacher Kathleen Parry, the production was humorous, heartwarming and (spoiler alert) ended with a happily-ever-after for all.
The school shared photos with the News ahead of the students’ performance.
