Elizabeth Jaworski first entered the art scene as a means to work through her pain. Today, the artist creates works marked by a sense of play.
As smoothly as an archer draws an arrow from a quiver, Elizabeth Jaworski picked up an art utensil and unleashed.

In life, she was grieving.
In art, she funnelled her pain into layers of vibrant hues and complex brushstrokes, creating works that exude a sense of childlike freedom and pure joy.
“Art became my refuge,” Elizabeth said.
“I started painting in December 2023 ... and, over time, it transformed into something much more: a passion that continues to grow and evolve with me.”
The door to healing not only became ajar, but galleries nationwide came a-knocking to exhibit the artist’s work.
Still, Elizabeth considers an event in her hometown of Echuca to be a standout.
At the 2025 Campaspe Artists Studio Trail, an annual celebration that brings the usual busy hum of exhibitions and art events to a fever pitch, Elizabeth joined local talents in promoting and selling their work.
“Having my own set-up where all my work was on display and everything that I sell, for me, that was a big, big, proud moment,” she said.
“It was a very successful week, and the first time I’ve put myself out there like that locally.
“When people see my art, I hope they feel joyful.
“That’s one of the reasons I paint: to bring myself joy and to share that joy with others.”
In April, Elizabeth welcomed a bundle of joy into the world – a beautiful baby girl.
With baby on board, she has had several of her works accepted as finalists in exhibitions in Brisbane, stocked pieces at The Artists Hive in the Dandenong Ranges, and plans are afoot for an exhibition at Echuca’s Custom House Gallery.
“I try to set aside at least 10 minutes a day to paint, but that doesn’t always work out,” she chuckled.
Whether it’s a few quick swishes of a bristle or a few hours in the studio, Elizabeth will continue to paint.
Passion, after all, cannot be restrained.
