School aged children and their families are invited to be part of the action at the Kyabram P-12 College hall from 6 - 8.30pm.
Entry is $8, there will be hot food and snacks for purchase, and a ton of great prizes up for grabs.
It's also the perfect opportunity for parents to have a chat to a volunteer about Kyabram Blue Light's first ever camp, which will take place in the term one school holidays next year.
Local police officers, Kyabram Blue Light members and camp staff are coming together to have some fun with high adrenaline activities like the flying fox and a giant swing, as well as traditional camp favourites like canoeing, raft building, swimming and other land based challenges.
It's technology free - which may pose a challenge to some kids who have grown up on iphones - and is based outdoors, aiming to reconnect kids with nature. The Blue Light committee hope the outcomes for the young people participating will be increased confidence, social awareness, problem solving, and team work all while the having the opportunity to focus on the environment they are in.
Expressions of interest close next week on October 11 so it's important to get your forms in quick. Check out the Blue Light Kyabram Facebook group to find the registration form.
