Then the Kyabram Fauna Park is looking for you.
As the park steams ahead with upgrades as part of its master plan, the grounds have become more in need of general maintenance.
And so, the team has turned to the community for help.
Kyabram Fauna Park general manager Lachlan Gordon said the park was ready to welcome back more volunteers who were happy to help with tasks such as repairing enclosures, mowing and gardening.
“There’s no shortage of jobs that need to be done around the park to make it as welcoming as possible for visitors,” he said.
“Volunteers have always been really important for the park and with lots of exciting changes taking place, we’re looking for some extra hands to help around the park.
“We’ve already got a great group called the Fauna Park Community Alliance that come to the Park every Monday and they do an amazing job, but we can definitely do with some more people to assist with grounds maintenance.
“We greatly appreciate the work our volunteers do and we think we offer an interesting and friendly environment and the opportunity to put your skills to work in a place that makes a difference, as well as learning new skills.”
The Kyabram Fauna Park is also looking for a volunteer team leader with experience delegating tasks.
Those interested can send an application to manager@kyabramfaunapark.com.au or pop in to the Kyabram Fauna Park front desk at 75 Lake Rd.
