A 90-year-old woman has undergone treatment for serious injuries after she was allegedly raped by a man who broke in to an aged care facility.

The attack was reported on November 15, after police were told an unknown man had broken into the Bateau Bay facility on the NSW Central Coast.
The elderly woman was taken to hospital where she was treated for serious injuries after being physically and sexually assaulted.
On Monday night, police arrested a 34-year-old man at a home in Caves Beach.
He allegedly tried to flee and was taken to hospital to treat minor injuries to his arm.
After he was released, the man was taken to Belmont Police Station where he was charged with several offences.
Charges include aggravated break and enter, committing a serious indictable offence using violence, inflicting actual bodily harm with intent to have sexual intercourse, aggravated sexual assault and inflicting actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail and expected to appear at Belmont Local Court on Tuesday.
