More than 100 people were in attendance, dressed in their best jazz age costumes or Sunday best and enjoyed the three-course meal and entertainment on offer.
YMGCR Marketing Manager Rob Alexander said the night was a great success with many locals and visitors attending the 1920s inspired event.
“The night was fantastic! Everyone really rose to the occasion and looked absolutely amazing,” Mr Alexander said.
“Everything from the room to the food, the staff – it all just came together for a great night. And best of all, the band, BigCityBeat, put on an incredible show and had the dance floor going all night.
“We had over a hundred in attendance, many of whom were attending their first golf club event – so it was a great first impression. We had some great feedback across a broad spectrum of people so we are definitely looking at it becoming a regular fixture on the annual calendar.
“We are trying to make this a special event. Besides the ladies days during the spring racing carnival the town doesn’t really have any dress up events which is what we are trying to introduce.
“It’s a great chance for people to get dressed up, whether that be in their finest or in costumes and it’s just something a bit quirky.
“We are also wanting to have three major events on our calendar this year with the return of the feast on the fairway on the cards so keep an eye out.
“We might have to make the room a little bigger next time – I think tickets will sell out fast for our second event!”
