The organisers are most appreciative of those who continue to travel long distances each year to come and enjoy the magnificent town hall.
This includes Beverley and Selby Brown from Canberra who have attended all 20 dance weekends.
Yarrawonga Lions ably led by Lion Denis Griffiths and Lion Joan Tufvesson provided excellent support and ensured everything ran smoothly.
Yarrawonga Lioness Club made good use of the community hall and kitchen providing delicious suppers over two nights and lunch on Sunday which also contributed greatly to the success of the weekend.
Sincere thanks also to Lion Doug Rankin and Lindsay Hutchins (MC’s) and Baden for their professional manner in keeping each event running smoothly.
Dawn and Geoff Campbell’s invaluable assistance was also very much appreciated.
On Sunday the group paid tribute to Max Gray with a “Minute Silence” to remember him.
Max and Margaret were very supportive of Yarrawonga’s dance events and played the Sunday music for 19 years until his untimely death late in 2018.
The generous support of the sponsors is appreciated and the gala ball and dance weekend committee would sincerely like to thank them:- Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourism Inc., Central Murray Credit Union, Burke’s Hotel/Motel, Yarrawonga Holiday Park Inc., Bunnings, Houghton’s Clothing & Homewares, Club Mulwala, Water Ski Club, Club Mulwala, Dominique’s Jewellers, Yarrawonga Bi-Rite, Blooms of Yarrawonga, Woolworths, Fresh Decor, Belle’s Cafe, Terry White Chemist, Yarrawonga Community Opportunity Shop, Gary-Filter World (Water Coolers), PharmaSave Yarrawonga, Debbie and Eddie, Gerda and Jeanette Wilson for her lovely flower arrangements on the stage.
Organisers said with over 120 people attending each dance, it would be impossible to cater without the community hall as the space/facilities provided in the proposed library complex will be totally unsuitable.
