Car park accident

Emergency services responded to a 68-year-old female who was involved in a motor vehicle accident in the car park at ClubMulwala at around 3.45pm on Saturday, September 14.   The driver had collided with four parked cars with her car eventually coming to a stop after it collided with a parked bus.   The driver suffered an injury to her leg and was later transported to Wangaratta Hospital for further treatment.   Mulwala Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident and believe the driver may have been suffering from a medical condition prior to the collision. 

Assault charge for 70-year-old 

A 70-year old Mulwala man will face Corowa Court in October after being charged with Assault Occassioning Actual Bodily Harm.  On Wednesday, September 11 the man become involved in a heated arguement with a 65-year-old male golf partner after a round of golf at the golf club.   The arguement turned physical with the 70-year-old allegedly striking the 65-year-old several times to the face, knocking him to the ground.   A number of bystanders came to the aid of the 65-year-old, separating the men.   The 65-year-old suffered considerable swelling to his face as a result of the assault and had to seek medical attention.
