Club CEO Peter Duncan said in the last 12 months $1 million has been spent on the park’s redevelopment which includes sealed roads, new caravan sites, two new elevated portable apartments and upgrades to water, power, gas, and sewerage infrastructure.
“The upgrades at the park are already seeing a positive return on investment with stronger bookings,” Mr Duncan said.
“We are also focused on upgrading the Max Kirwin Ski Park in readiness for the World Show Ski Championships to be held in March next year.
“The upgrades will enable us to successfully bid for more national and world class ski events which will bring further benefits to both the club and the community.”
Mr Duncan said a total of $500,000 will be spent on the park. The club has been able to benefit from a NSW State Government grant of over $300,000 along with another $200,000 contributed by the club to upgrade the park’s facilities with the installation of new buildings for judges, a meeting room, kitchen, toilets, viewing area and sealing of the road inside the ski park.
“We are also very grateful the Federation Council has assisted the club with the sealing of Wemyss Road into the park from Tocumwal Road.”
The club will hold their AGM this Sunday, October 27 at 10am in the main lounge. Long serving president and board member Len Langford has been nominated for life membership to be tabled at the meeting.
