During the search for missing person Simranjeet Singh Bhullar, police located a deceased person on a farming property in Katamatite on Tuesday, May 26.
The body has not been formally identified however it is believed to be that of Simranjeet Singh Bhullar who went missing on April 30.
Police thank everyone for their support during the search and especially the SES volunteers whose skills and tenacity led to police locating the deceased. The matter is now before the coroner.
Getz window smash
Between 9pm on Tuesday, May 26 and 11am on Wednesday, May 27 offender/s smashed the rear passenger window to a Hyundai Getz parked in Hume St, Yarrawonga.
Offender/s do not appear to have attempted to gain entry to the vehicle at all. Any information please contact LSC RAE at Yarrawonga Police Station.
Burnt out vehicle
Police were called to a burnt-out vehicle located on the intersection of Tungamah Main Road and Blair Road, Tungamah on Wednesday, May 27. The vehicle was completely extinguished upon police arrival and no emergency services were called to the vehicle when it was alight.
A VIN number has been recovered from the remains of the vehicle and police are investigating.

Man caught with cannabis
Police were called to Belmore Street for a male displaying strange behaviour on Wednesday, May 27. Police searched the male and located a zip lock bag containing 14 grams of cannabis. The male will receive an official caution in relation to the matter.
Power tools stolen from property
Offender/s jumped a fence/locked gate and entered the rear open shed on a Katamatite property on Wednesday, May 27 where they stole several power tools. Any information please contact the Katamatite Police Station.
Beanie theft
A 39-year-old Mulwala female known to police stole a beanie from a Belmore St shop on June 2.
She was interviewed later in the day, charged and bailed to appear at Wangaratta Magistrates Court in August.
Firearm charges
Police attended an address in Melbourne Street Mulwala where they identified and recovered a Gel Pistol on Sunday, June 7. A 53-year-old Mulwala resident was spoken to by police and has been charged with a number of firearm offences. He is to appear in Corowa Court on July 22. Police remind people that Gel Pistols constitute an illegal firearm unless the owner has the appropriate license and permit.
Man wanted on warrants
Police are seeking to locate Marcus Corboy who is wanted on warrants.
He is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, 178cm tall, thin build with short grey hair.
He is believed to frequent the Shepparton, Yarrawonga and Mulwala areas.
