The Yarrawonga Chronicle’s 150th year anniversary publication won the best feature for its circulation category at the recent Victorian Country Press Awards.
The feature was wrapped around the paper as part of the Yarrawonga’s 150th year celebrations last October.
The judge heaped praise on the content, theme and design of the feature saying it was; “a great review of the town’s history with highlights of over 70 events, achievements and organisations wrapped into a quality product, certainly a great read for all.”
Chronicle Managing Editor Jared Loughnan said a lot of research and work went into the feature and was pleasing to see it be recognised.
“To wrap 150 years into a 16-page supplement was challenging but rewarding at the same time.
“Many readers complimented us on the feature. This is just another great example of what our talented team at the Chronicle produces,” Jared said.
