Downpour welcomed

Largely the welcomed rain fell in the span of an hour between 6am and 7am Monday morning with 23mm recorded. January had only recorded a total of 1.8mm before Sunday.

Water covered residential roads in several areas of Yarrawonga and Mulwala before clearing as the day warmed up to a top temperature of 22°C.

At the time of printing further rain was forecast for Thursday with a 60% chance of 0 to 5mm expected to fall in Yarrawonga. 

The Australia Day long weekend is predicted to be fine and sunny with temperatures in the early 30s.
