The effort to bring back the popular Good Friday door knock appeal for the Royal Children’s Hospital has now been put off until next year due to the threat and uncertainty of the coronavirus.

Leading the campaign to bring it back to the community was local Yarrawonga CFA Coordinator Simon Crawford along with members of the brigade, the Yarrawonga Lions Club, Yarrawonga SES and Central Murray Credit Union.
Simon confirmed the news late last week saying it was with great disappointment that all parties have made the decision that this year’s Good Friday door knock appeal, which raises money for the Royal Children’s Hospital will not be going ahead.
“We must think of everyone’s safety and wellbeing as a priority, and it’s only fair that we do as the rest of the country is doing right now.
“Thank you to all the people who have been helping with getting things ready for the day, your help is very much appreciated.
“If there is something good to come out of this it is, we will be well prepared for next year’s appeal,” Simon added.
Donations for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal can still be made at the Central Murray Credit Union.
