As we move into the new normal and embrace rigorous hygiene and social distancing, from Monday (June 1) Woolworths are returning to packing customers’ bags at the checkout, so long as they’re clean for our team to handle.
For peace of mind, Woolworths will offer a like for like replacement if a reusable bag isn’t hygienic for the team to handle.
“We’d like to thank our customers for their understanding while we adapted our check-out process to minimise handing where possible during the height of the pandemic,” a Woolworth’s spokesperson said.
“We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and make any necessary adjustments.”
