The health service has not had a positive case since April 1 with over 1,000 tests now completed since March 19. There were four positive COVID-19 tests detected early in the pandemic period all from returned overseas travellers who were self-isolating.
Since March 19, 2020 up until Sunday June 28 the health service has completed a total of 1,055 tests. Of the tests completed 300 were symptomatic tests, 578 were asymptomatic tests and 177 have been influenza tests.

“Remember being tested and staying at home when you are unwell is the best defence against the coronavirus COVID-19 and will keep yourself, friends, family, workplace and community safe,” Ms Gall said.
“The community’s ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic remains as important than ever, even as restrictions ease.
“It is important that the community sticks together and keep each other safe by knowing the symptoms and doing the right thing by staying at home and getting tested,” Ms Gall said.
