To complement this unique NSW marketing campaign, Federation Council has launched its own campaign, drawing on the Love NSW brand, but bespoke to our towns.
The objective of the Love NSW Campaign is to inspire holidaymakers to plan and book that next NSW getaway. The campaign encourages people to stay `locally’ and spend `locally’ in NSW to support tourism businesses across the state.
Federation Council Mayor Pat Bourke encouraged tourism operators to get involved and let visitors know they are open and welcoming bookings from those who are able to travel.
“It’s been an incredibly tough time for the tourism industry so now’s the time for us to work together, support each other and to inspire holidaymakers to book that NSW getaway,” he said.
“Tourism businesses can get in on the action by using the campaign assets to show travellers why their product, attraction or experience is a ‘must’ for any NSW itinerary.”
Mayor Bourke said by aligning our own campaign activities and brand with Destination NSW’s Love NSW campaign it will increase the reach and recognition of Federation Council’s campaign, ensuring the region stays front of mind to those who know us (past visitors), and encourages those who may have not visited before to add our amazing towns and villages to their bucket lists.
“This social media campaign will complement our most recent ‘With Love from Us’ campaign that attracted over 150 visitors signing up to receive a token of our love and appreciation,” he said.
“This campaign would not have been the great success that it was without the support of our fantastic tourism operators. The new campaign is also a social media campaign, hence the more people that get involved the bigger it will be. Council encourages you to participate, spread the word and spread the excitement to your customers for them to get involved too.”
A campaign guide has been developed to inform tourism operators about how they can participate. All campaign assets are available for use and can be obtained by contacting the Corowa Visitor Information Centre at tourism@federationcouncil.nsw.gov.au.
