Apex Winter Ball raises $6k

The Apex Winter Ball on Saturday, July 18 was a resounding success, with 137 people attending, dressed in glamorous gowns and stylish suits.

Guests enjoyed a delicious two-course meal, a silent auction, photo booth and live music from Acoustic Box Duo.

The event raised more than $6000, with all proceeds going to the not-for-profit organisation Young Australia League, to support young people pursuing tertiary education.

Cobram Barooga Apex Club treasurer Damien Guthrie said it was a great night and thanked everyone who supported the event, noting there were too many people to thank individually.

“It was a really enjoyable night and another successful Winter Ball that we hope to continue for years to come,” he said.

“It is also really great to use the ball as a fundraiser for the YAL scholarship.”

Applications for the YAL scholarship are still open and will close on Sunday, August 16.
