With a picturesque course, a City v Country rivalry, professionals and celebrities sharing the same stage, and an After Dark concert to finish the day, Blitz Golf is aiming to show why Yarrawonga is more than just another stop on the tour.
The fast-paced golf series enjoyed remarkable growth in its first Australian season, recording almost 500,000 views across its YouTube highlights package while social media engagement soared by 630 per cent.
CEO and founder Simon Zybek believes the event's broad appeal has been one of its biggest strengths.
"The diversity of the fields and the diversity of the fans” has been hugely positive for golf,” he said.
The organisation found that many people attending Blitz wouldn't normally go to a golf tournament, which is exactly what they hoped.
“Blitz was built to be an event the whole family can enjoy, not just diehard golf fans.” Mr Zybek said.
Local golfing talent James Gordon experienced last year's event firsthand in 2026 and believes it offers players opportunities beyond the fairways.
"In terms of the organisation it is really good," Gordon said.
"I don't get to play in front of that many people, so to have crowds come out and watch was pretty exciting."
Gordon also believes Blitz Golf's expanding media reach can help emerging players establish themselves professionally.
"It exposes players to hopefully attract sponsorship because of the wider audiences," he said.
For organisers, the numbers confirmed there was a genuine appetite for a different style of golf highlighting a real demand for the product and the gap in the market with short-format golf.
Organisers are hoping Black Bull will attract between 2,000 and 3,000 spectators as part of a national series expected to welcome more than 15,000 fans.
Following its rapid rise, the Australia Series will increase to six events, adding Sydney and the Gold Coast to the schedule while welcoming Coopers Brewery as the naming rights partner.
