Legatee Brian Bouchier was inducted into Legacy in March 2017, his father was a WW2 soldier who served in New Guinea. Brian is a Life Member of Apex Clubs of Australia and his professional career as a funeral director for 45 years with the last 25 years as owner of Yarrawonga Mulwala Funerals. He is married to Betty and has four children.
Immediate Past President 2020 – 22 Legatee Ian Summers provided his last president’s report, thanking all those who have been involved in Legacy over the years.
“I am pleased to say that this group continues to support all Widows from all wars and conflicts. I thank you one and all,” Legatee Summers said.
“It has been refreshing to be able to carry out our duties this year without having to worry about COVID-19.
“I am sure all the Widows have appreciated being able to be involved in the social activities of the Widows' Clubs at Yarrawonga and Cobram.
“Brian Cossar OAM. What can I say? He has worked tirelessly to make sure all the things that needed to be done, happened despite not being 100% fit some of the time. Thank you, Brian.
“I would like to mention those Legatees who sadly passed away whilst working with us. John, Noel and Anton, we miss you greatly.
“I wish Legatee Brian Bouchier nothing but success as he takes over as president for 2023.
“My role as president can only be as good as the loyalty and help I get from you, the Legatees. You all did me proud.
“Thank you all once again.”
The evening was attended by guests from organisations who have supported Legacy and who were all thanked for their support.
In inducting Legatee Bouchier as Group President, Legatee Webb explained the importance and the role of this position in ensuring that Legacy continue their constant support to Legacy widows within our area comprising Yarrawonga, Mulwala, Bundalong, Tungamah, Tocumwal, Strathmerton, Cobram and Barooga.
