The charity day originally began when a group of musicians, better known as Bali Band, and their partners wanted to get together over Easter and offered to play at the yacht club for free, before deciding it would be a good opportunity to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
This year an Easter egg hunt sponsored by YYC and face painting by Jeanie’s Face Painting kept the children entertained, whilst for the adults there was a Silent Auction sponsored by Creative Funz, Retro Entertainment and Fun In The Sun with a raffle of a Cole Clarke guitar, signed by Australian musos Jon Stevens, Kate Ceberano, Daryl Braithwaite, Ella Hooper and Chocolate Star Fish also widely sought after.
Everyone was entertained all day long with live music by Bali Band members Dave Bray, Norbert Mancusi, Marty Rose, Steve Simpson, Les Brazil and Chris Smith alongside local band Fanbelt while also enjoying delicious food provided by four local food trucks who donated part of their takings to the Good Friday Appeal.
Lilian, Violet, Christopher and Layla enjoyed the goodies the Easter Bunny left as part of the Easter Egg hunt.

Organiser Debbi Anderson said with 1000 people in attendance, this was by far the most successful event the group had held over the four years and the attendance was reflected in the amount of money raised.
“With $10,544.21 raised this year, the grand total over the four years is in excess of $25,000 with all funds going to the Royal Children’s Hospital, which we are so proud of,” Ms Anderson said.
“This year we also had the addition of an outdoor stage donated by Event Stage Hire which was powered by a generator donated by Northen Hire Group.
“Alongside everyone who came along on the day and the businesses who donated items for the raffle, we also want to thank Teagan Rosa for the graphic design and Paul Rosa for the sound.
“Raffles on the day consisted of donated items from: Priority Fitness, Yarrawonga Tyres, Lakeview Motel, Rich Glen, Yarrawonga Bakery, Miss Dolly, Mulwala Pharmacy, Dominques Jewellers, Belles Café, Showcase Jewellers, White Door Living Blooms Chemist, Linen House and Bunnings who we thank greatly.”
