There were 41 people were in attendance, for an enjoyable lunch before finishing the group’s fun activities.
This month’s theme was spring colours and trivia.
The group also ran a brooch competition, with Leanne Varty and Lynda Danckert invited along as guest judges.
Both did a great job giving their time and expertise to create a shortlist of the top 10 best brooches, with one winner.
The judges complimented everyone on their efforts, taking their breath away.
Margaret Telford was declared the winner with her floral brooch.
Mrs Telford said the brooch was about 65 years old and a gift from her husband, which was not for any particular reason.
The Golden Oldies October theme is mental health, and the dress code for the gathering at the Deni RSL Club will be to wear blue - the colour which symbolises calmness.
The group is also planning an excursion for the November gathering, around the same time as Melbourne Cup Day. More details to come.
