Burned car’s owner fined

Police said it appears she cut the corner and collided with the front of a B250 giving way on Harfleur St.

The RAV4 driver reportedly told police that the sun had impaired her vision.

The crash occurred about 7.10am, with a fire starting in the RAV4 moments later.

It was fully engulfed by the time Deniliquin Fire + Rescue NSW firefighters arrived, and the car was destroyed.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics also responded to the incident, and Edward River Council provided traffic control.

Emergency services said the female driver did sustain a minor injury as a result of the crash.

The woman was issued with a traffic infringement notice for negligent driving.
