On a clear, but chilly Sunday afternoon in July, a delighted and very engaged audience enjoyed the Lakeside Voices’ Winter Concert, performed at St Andrew’s Uniting Church in Yarrawonga.
With the well-known, and very capable conductor Andrew Brown, the choristers presented a lively, refreshingly new format.
Three solo artists added new dimensions to the program, selected from across the musical genres.
These selections included a raunchy rendition of Feeling Good, a moving performance of I Dreamed a Dream and a gentle, heartfelt version of The Rose.
During the afternoon, the audience enthusiastically joined in the community sing-along with guitar accompaniment, to some well-known Aussie classics.
A mouth-watering afternoon tea concluded the day, with many asking, “When is the next one?”
Lakeside Voices would love to welcome new members.
