Family and friends recently witnessed the marriage of James Elliott and Jordyn Frood at a ceremony on the foreshore of Villa Tarni on Saturday, November 12.
Jordyn was accompanied by her bridesmaids, Sarah, Liz, Steph, Olivia and Stephanie while James’s groomsmen were Jake, Corben, Jack, Riley and Jacob.
A reception was then held afterwards at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort with family and friends travelling from far and wide.
While the weather was challenging, it was kind enough to hold off for everyone to enjoy a magnificent evening.
CWA election result
At the CWA Annual General Meeting, a new committee was elected to run the branch for the next year.
Sue Jackson was elected President, Lorraine Court as Secretary and Kerry Hargreaves as Treasurer. The Group President Judee Lockwood chaired that part of the meeting and wished the newly elected committee and branch much success for the next year.
The local branch has 26 members plus one junior member.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month with Craft Days held on the first and third Fridays.
Cookery demonstrations have been held on the fifth Fridays, however these days may increase as they are most popular.
The Country Women’s Association works to raise money to support many organisations within the town, state and some national with emphasis on helping women and children.
All are welcome to meetings or craft/cooking days.

The My Christmas Spirit Glows show is back again at the Yarrawonga College P-12, P-4 Campus this Thursday.

The Yarrawonga College P-12 Community Workshop is once again holding their My Christmas Spirit Glows spectacular this Thursday, December 1.
The cheeky elves are back again and are ready to entertain you at the Yarrawonga College P-4 Campus from 6.30pm - 8pm on Thursday.
There will be a number of special performances as well as a visit from Santa himself.
The community workshop are also asking the Yarrawonga Mulwala communities to help light up both towns. This can be in the form of putting a set of lights on your letterbox/fence ready to light up with the school and workshop on December 1.
Pulsate’s movie fundraising night
The Pulsate Dance Studio is holding a movie fundraiser at YMGCR cinemas on December 4.
A fundraiser night at the YMGCR cinemas will be held for the Pulsate Dance Force Studio on December 4 at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort from 7pm.
Local dancers Laura Connelly, Lilly Levesque, Mia Crothers, Demi Crothers, Payton Wood and Olivia Carpinelli are raising money to ensure they can go follow their dreams to the national dance competition in Adelaide in January along with 33 fellow dancers and two teachers from four dance teams at the studios.
The movie to be played will be Armageddon Time with tickets costing $35 and including a glass of champagne and grazing platter on arrival.
The children will be running raffles and lucky door prizes drawn before the movie with some prizes including two nights accommodation at ClubMulwala, breakfast included and use of the hot tub, platter voucher by Thyme for Coffee, $100 voucher for Yarrawonga Hair Care plus some more surprises yet to be revealed.
All funds raised will go towards the dance team going to nationals in Adelaide.

Burramine hall Christmas party
An invitation is extended to all to come along to the Burramine Hall Christmas party on Saturday, December 17 at 6pm. A BBQ tea is supplied with those attending to please help by bringing a salad or a dessert to share. $10 per family. It will be great to see you all after not being able to have the Christmas catch up due to covid.

Ecumenical Choir carol service
Yarrawonga-Mulwala Ecumenical Choir will be holding their carols and readings service at St Cuthbert’s Anglican Church on the corner of Piper and Lynch Streets on Sunday, December 18 at 7.30pm.
All are welcome and the Ecumenical Choir look forward to you joining them for supper afterwards in St Cuthbert’s Hall.
