Moira Group of CWA President Jennifer Briggs was in attendance for elections.
Firstly, reports were read.
Members have enjoyed a busy year with a range of activities such as the Mini Fete and stalls fund raising, catering for the Rod Run afternoon tea, social Thursdays (fourth Thursday of each month) meet at various coffee shops, Craft- 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at CWA rooms – all welcome so please phone 0425 711 977.
International Country of Study for 2019 Iceland, members learn snippets of geography, history, cuisine, culture etc.
An International Day luncheon is held and students and teachers from Mulwala Public School are invited.
The school studies the same country as CWA each year and traditional food of the country is served.
The passing of two life Members, Shirley Evans and Morrie Montrose who had contributed a lot to CWA over the years was acknowledged.
The Group President then conducted the election for new office bearers for 2019/2020.
These are to be: President - Sue Jackson, Secretary - Jennie Hammon, Treasurer - Kerry Hargreaves, Vice President - Sandy Gibson, International Officer - Kathy Barnes, Craft Co-ordinator - Kathy Hunter.
The next activity is Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) fundraiser “Outback Morning Tea 2019” on Thursday, November 28 at 10.00am in the CWA rooms, 21 Hovell Street Yarrawonga. All welcome, contact Secretary J. Hammon on 5748 7152.
