This is an opportunity for women who work during the day or are at home during the day caring for children, or have other commitments during the day, to come and enjoy the company of likeminded women for fun and friendship in the evening.
Women of all ages and from all walks of life are invited to come along and gauge their interest in joining CWA, even if they didn't come to the first evening.
CWA is made up of women with different talents, some can bake, some enjoy craft, some advocate for change and others love to volunteer their time helping their community.
The CWA has slogan of Care, Empower, Contribute, which sums up what we as members strive to do, but these earnest words leave out the Friendship, Fun and Fulfilment that being part of a CWA branch brings.
CWA provides a sense of belonging, personal development, satisfaction of supporting our local community and advocates on behalf of our communities.
There are various state sub committees including Creative Arts, Social Issues, International and Community Support, Agriculture/Environment, and Communications that provide members with the opportunity to share their expertise and keep fellow members informed on the different topics.
We hope to see as many as possible come along on October 14, in the CWA building, Hovell street, Yarrawonga at 5.30pm and hear firsthand of the work of CWA in our local communities and join in the excitement of opening a new CWA branch.
