Extended bowls break

There’s another two weeks before local bowlers return to the greens, with the Goulburn Murray Bowls Murray district festive break lasting an entire month this season.

Round 10 of Midweek Pennant was played on December 12, with round 11 scheduled for January 16.

There’s only four rounds remaining in the season, with semi-finals expected to start from February 20 and the grand finals to be played March 5.

When play resumes on January 16, Finley’s Division 1 side will take on Tocumwal.

In Division 2 Numurkah 2 will host Berrigan Toc Golf 3 will host Numurkah 3 and Toc Golf 2 have the bye.

Weekend pennant will resume on January 20, also with round 11, after a five week break.

There’s only four rounds remaining in this competition also, with semi-finals from February 24 and the grand finals on March 9.

When play resumes Berrigan’s Division 1 side will be on the road to Wunghnu and Toc will host Numurkah.

In Division 2 Numurkah host Finley and Cobram hosts Toc and the Division 3 draw will see Jerilderie host Toc while Berrigan travel to Cobram.

Berrigan and Finley do battle in Division 4, while Toc will go to Numukah.
