Central Murray Bank this week announced the retirement of is chief executive, John Pattison and ClubMulwala’s chief executive Alan Rowe has resigned to take up an executive position in Hervey Bay.
John Pattison retires
Mr Pattison has lead Central Murray Bank, and before that Yarrawonga Credit Union, for 30 years.
He was pivotal in shaping the former credit union into the community-owned bank it is today.
"After 44 years in Mutual banking, beginning in 1982, starting with eight years at EdCredit, followed by five years at Croydon & District Credit Union, and the past 31 years with Central Murray Bank (formerly Yarrawonga Credit Union), I’ve decided it’s time to call it a day,” John said.
“My entire working life has been banking … but the most rewarding years have been in the Mutual Banking sector.
“Working in regional community banking, where the focus is genuinely on people before profit, have been especially fulfilling."
Operations manager, Sally Eales has been appointed acting ceo during the transition period.
Alan Rowe moves interstate
ClubMulwala CEO Alan Rowe (left) is moving to Hervey Bay in Queensland.
After 11 years at ClubMulwala, Alan Rowe has resigned from the top job.
During his tenure, Alan provided strong, steady leadership and played a pivotal role in shaping ClubMulwala.
He oversaw the successful delivery of the first three stages of Club Mulwala’s major redevelopment, transformational projects that significantly enhanced facilities and positioned the club well for future growth.
The Board of Directors and staff have extended their sincere thanks to Alan for his commitment and contribution over the past 11 years.
