Steve Buckley is the new captain, Judy Kruger the new vice captain – both unopposed - board director Kay Clarke was re-elected and Peter Crothers was elected director at last Sunday’s Annual General Meeting of Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort.
Mr Buckley replaces Mick Spring who, after three years, did not seek re-election. After 12 months in the job, Frank Foley resigned as vice-captain. Mrs Kruger’s appointment is therefore for two years.
Four candidates contested the two positions of director. Mrs Clarke was standing for re-election, as was Mrs Vivian Spilva OAM. Mr Crothers and Mr Dario Prighel stood for election.
Mr Crothers was successful, in effect, replacing Mrs Spilva. The newly appointed director is 73, a retired international banker and moved to Yarrawonga in 2018.
All four finalised appointments are for three years, except the two-year appointment of Mrs Kruger.
A total of 141 members attended the AGM. Club President Laurie Bridgeman congratulated the four appointees and thanked unsuccessful candidates Vivian Spilva and Dario Prighel for their keen interest.
The president thanked the attendees and had a message for all club members: “Be part of the club, frequent the club. What you do is appreciated.”
