“Everyone has been very welcoming and patient as I become familiar with the role,” she said.
The much-travelled Jordan moved to Yarrawonga in March this year from Brisbane where she was based since 2012 and working in child protection.
“It has been a lovely change moving south out of the Queensland humidity,” she said.
Jordan was born in Adelaide where she went to primary school, then finished high school in New Zealand.
Her family are all from NZ, and she is of Maori and Irish decent.
Jordan has a degree in early childhood and worked in the sector for seven years as well as working in the USA, Cambodia and the UK.
Recently, she took up golf and loves yoga, snowboarding, travelling and reading.
Now she has taken over at the Mulwala Library from Chris Boyd who retires at the end of January after seven years.
“I have loved every moment under Chris’s wing and will miss her spark in the library,” Jordan said.
Chris, whose local government career spans more than 40 years, said she loved the job at Mulwala Library.
“It’s a beautiful community which warmed my heart,” she said.
“I have left the job in very capable hands and wish Jordan all the best.”
