Funding boost for new library

The Yarrawonga Library project has taken a massive leap forward thanks to a significant financial boost from local community organisations.

The Central Murray Sunrise Rotary Club, with the vital support of the Mulwala Water Ski Club grants program, has secured a generous $15,000 donation for the new community precinct.

The major funding injection is locked in to purchase modern furniture and a state-of-the-art fit-out for the highly anticipated facility.

Beyond physical furnishings, the money will support enhanced digital programming and the integration of new technologies, ensuring the library remains a modern hub for learning and discovery.

Fundraising committee spokesperson Barb Macdermid expressed deep gratitude for the substantial local investment.

"The fundraising committee appreciates the incredible generosity and foresight of both the Central Murray Sunrise Rotary Club and the Mulwala Water Ski Club," Ms Macdermid said.

"Their support is instrumental in creating a space that will keep our community connected, engaged, and inspired in an inclusive and accessible environment."

The new library project aims to provide a larger, more vibrant central meeting place for residents.
