With more than 325 allotments developed over the last 12 months, a further 100 currently under construction and more than 150 homes completed or under construction, the Glanmire Park community is evolving.
“We have been very excited to see many new homes under construction with numerous local homeowners among them,” project manager and part owner of the Glanmire Park Mark Russell said.
“Our main focus at the moment is developing the infrastructure and landscaping around the development which can now be also seen from the highway.
“We are spending around $10 million in developing this infrastructure, which will next year eventually see the connection to the highway and the completion of the drainage network linking into Botts Rd and through to the lake.”
Mr Russell said the playground is under construction and you can see it from the highway.
“We anticipate it will be ready to play on around mid-year,” he said.
“More major landscaping works commenced this week as we move into more conducive planting conditions seasons.
“This will see additional landscape works around the entry lakes and green spine, which meanders its way through the project.
“We anticipate commencing construction of the entry road from Murray Valley Highway in the coming months.”
Mr Russell said the residential stages at Glanmire Park are moving along in construction, and the integrated mixed-use element of the development continues to progress, with groups expressing interest in a variety of social and community infrastructure uses on parts of the Murray Valley Highway frontage of the estate.
“This is very exciting for the community,” Mr Russell said.
“In addition to land sales, Glanmire Park is cognisant that different buyers may desire different solutions.
“Bearing this in mind, Glanmire Park has developed a new initiative; in addition to normal house and land packages, a select number of 'Turn Key' housing solutions are available to the public to purchase.”
Glanmire Park’s 'Turn Key’ housing solution will see a purchaser pay a 10% deposit (of the total cost), with no more to pay until the construction of the dwelling is complete.
"Our research has identified demand for a 'Turn Key' housing solution in Yarrawonga and we are proud to offer these to the market," Mr Russell added.
Mr Russell said being a part of the community was important to Glanmire Park, and they have been working closer with the Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourism and Business Board to assist in events such as the Yarrawonga Powerboat Spectacular and Fair in April along with contributing to the Yarrawonga Mulwala Basketball Association and the ongoing development of the new sports stadium.
“We would like to see Yarrawonga Mulwala benefit more from these significant events and possibly more like them.
“We see that the tourism organisation is a pivotal part of this, and we are happy to support them in their endeavours to continue and create more events,” Mr Russell said.
