Yarrawonga-Mulwala Darts Association held its grand-finals last Thursday night with Golf Club, Carefactor and Pelicans triumphing in the three grades respectively.

In A Grade, Golf Club proved too good for Ski Club winning four games to two. Carefactor got home in B Grade, winning four games to three over Mix & Match.
The four games to three score-line also applied with Pelicans clinching C Grade over Sultans.
Organisers would like to see more members of the 1986-established Yarrawonga-Mulwala Darts Association which commenced operation in January 1987 with a summer season comprising six teams: Terminus Hotel, ClubMulwala, Royal Mail Hotel Mulwala, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, Victoria Hotel and Mulwala Water Ski Club. Two more teams joined for the winter season of 1987, The Outlaws and The Criterion Hotel.
It wasn’t until 2005 when the association claimed a home, following discussions between darts leader John Velja and the Moira Shire Council about a building at the Yarrawonga Showgrounds.
Yarrawonga-Mulwala Darts Association is proud of its history – a little outlined above - but would welcome more players.
“Darts to me and I am sure, many others, is a sport,” committeeman Phil Bott said.
“In my view, darts, arguably, is one of the purest forms of sport where success isdetermination and hand co-ordination. We’d love to hear from anyone interested in giving darts a go.”
New season competition commencement dates (Winter/Summer) are yet to be locked in but usually occur two to three after the “Doubles” competition on July 8/2021.

The dart association is continually looking for new players to join and play in the Thursday Night Home and Away Competition in addition to Tuesday Night “Super League” Competition.
