Building Our Moira: Your Shire, Your Say brings five integrated plans together in one place, making it easier for the community to see the complete picture.
The draft Financial Plan 2025–2035, the draft 2025/26 budget, the draft Revenue and Rating Plan 2025–2029, the draft Council Plan 2025–2029 and lastly the draft Asset Plan 2025–2035.
Together, the plans provide a clear roadmap to guide council in leading the shire toward a more inclusive, sustainable, and positive future for all with all now available for community feedback, except the draft Council Plan and draft Asset Plan, which will be considered at an Unscheduled Council Meeting on May 15,
Moira Shire Council chair administrator, Graeme Emonson said the council had made providing feedback accessible to all.
“Visit the council’s website to read the draft plans and complete a short survey for each. And if you need assistance, please phone Council for assistance,” Dr Emonson said.
Community information sessions will be held at the Yarrawonga Farmers Market on the Yarrawonga foreshore on Sunday, May 25 from 10am to 12pm and outside the Town Hall on Thursday, May 29 from 10am – 12pm.
“These informal pop-up sessions are a great way to speak directly with council staff, ask questions, and find out how the plans affect you,” Dr Emonson said.
“A submission hearing will be held in June, giving the opportunity for community members who have provided a formal written submission, to speak in support of their submission directly.”
