Deniliquin High School’s Do it for Dolly day was held last Thursday, May 7 and the school raised more than $640.

Organising teacher Sue Laing added the total to the Deniliquin Nutrien Ag Solution tally, which amounted to $13,350 following its Dolly Day barbecue breakfast on Friday.
Both fundraisers aim to help the Dolly Everett Foundation end bullying.
At the school, staff and students were encouraged to wear something blue - with the theme being expressed through clothing, boots and hats.
The school also did a boot toss at lunchtime and the canteen made special blue cupcakes.
There was a whip cracking demonstration by Year 7 student Beau Jervis, and country music was playing all day.

Mrs Laing said the students were fantastic all getting behind this worthy cause which they celebrate every year.
