The male dancers from the Sydney Hotshots sizzled and seduced a great crowd of 150 people at ClubMulwala last Friday with those in attendance witnessing a great show that was lively and entertaining.
ClubMulwala Marketing and Entertainment Co-Ordinator Trish Storer said the audience enjoyed the Hotshots performance before then dancing the night away with the DJ.
“The audience included a couple of bride-to-be celebrations as well as birthday parties which was a great hit!” Ms Storer said.
On Saturday night, ClubMulwala in conjunction with the Yarrawonga Football Netball Club held a Sportsman’s Night with around 150 sports enthusiasts enjoying many tales from the five special guests as well as live auctions of memorabilia and a delicious dinner.
Several current Yarrawonga Pigeons footballers joined former Geelong Cats premiership teammates Cam Mooney and Steve Johnson (current Yarrawonga coach) at the Sportsman’s night which also auctioned off plenty of sports memorabilia including a signed jumper of Mooney.
“The audience were treated to a range of stories from accomplished sports stars, providing an insight into their various careers and telling some great behind the scenes stories,” Ms Storer said.
“Kevin Sheedy, Cam Mooney, Steve Johnson, Barry Michael and comedian Des Dowling were entertaining and enjoyed interactions with the crowd as well.”
Yarrawonga Football Netball Club (YFNC) Secretary and Netball Operations Vicky Long said the very first Ultimate Sportsman’s night was a great success.
“We got off to a late start with the Matilda’s setting the scene, which made for an enjoyable night,” Ms Long said.
Comedian Des Dowling and Barry Michael were also entertaining and enjoyed interactions with the crowd at the Sportman’s night.
“All the speakers and their stories were very interesting and they were lots of fun. Lots of laughs!
“We had numerous big ticket auction items, that were very well received by the audience.
“A big thank you to all our donors, our successful bidders and our live auctioneers – Phil Conway and Trent Head.
“Thank you also to ClubMulwala for their outstanding service. Their event team are amazing.”
