Huge day in Peechelba

The official part of the day saw president, Des Fogarty welcome everyone, then committee member and long-time resident, Les Davey raised the flag.

Graeme Nish gave an historic talk about the hall and then Moira Shire chair administrator, Graeme Emerson spoke of the importance of small halls to communities before unveiling the plaque.

Elizabeth Rouse Salmon from Wangaratta RSL Sub-branch spoke about local soldiers who fought in WW1 and WW11 and many past residents enjoyed making connections and reliving memories.

Devonshire tea was served and there were photo and embroidery displays as well as dance displays.

Outside were 65 market stalls, show and shine cars, food and music, and opportunities to practice CPR with Ambulance Victoria, and take a close up look at a CFA fire truck.
