Lower river levels expected for Easter break

Federation Council Deputy Mayor Shaun Whitechurch stands out in the middle of the Murray River near John Foord Bridge in January. Cr Whitechurch has been advocating for a better understanding with water management authorities on low river levels during tourism periods to protect local economies.

Following several years of significant rainfall and higher river levels in the Murray during Autumn, river users can expect a return to lower levels this Easter.
