LS Precast snaps up job seekers

Yarrawonga is very much in the mix as L S Precast Benalla still seeks additional employees in its aim to have a total workforce of 300 by Christmas to assist the $5.5 billion West Gate Tunnel project in Melbourne.

West Gate Project and L S Precast recruiters met employment seekers in Yarrawonga on September 16 as part of their North East and Goulburn Valley recruitment drive.

LS Precast owner at Benalla Ashley Day described the roadshow recruitment drive to recruit a further 160 employees to total 300 as “fantastic”.

“It was great to chat to lots of would-be applicants about the exciting roles on offer,” the managing director told the Yarrawonga Chronicle.

“We’ve offered 24 roles to applicants, starting over the next fortnight, with another 27 employees in the ready-to-offer stage.

“The HR team is also processing many more applications to fill the jobs still available.”

Mr Day said he is yet to confirm exact positions. “However, 14 applicants from the wider Yarrawonga area are progressing through the recruitment process,” he said.

“Yarrawonga roadshow attendees who haven’t applied for positions yet are encouraged to do so.”

Established in Murray Road, Benalla over 12 months ago, LS Precast Benalla is the largest precast manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere and is still growing construction-wise.
