Moira Shire Mayor Libro Mustica said that the festival is a fantastic initiative to get people out and about, trying new skills, participating in art and culture activities across the whole shire.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the turn out and support each of the activities received, particularly on the Monday public holiday with more than 100 people drumming and dancing and looking at the wonderful works of art,” Cr Mustica said.

“I want to particularly thank the artists who contributed their wonderful artwork to be a part of the exhibition and also the artists and community groups who are leading the various activities.

“Without their efforts, support and encouragement, events like this would not be possible.

“Visit council’s website for all the details on activities and events at the three remaining festival locations.”

The festival wrapped up in Yarrawonga on Wednesday before moving onto Nathalia next week and Cobram and Numurkah leading into July.
