Directors last week attended an alternate dispute resolution workshop in Albury with Allan Parker OAM.
It stems from a motion moved last month by three member directors to remove non-member directors Trisha Gorman and Robert Burbury.
Ms Gorman and Mr Burbury are the only non-member directors on the seven member board.
The motion to have them removed was moved by Steve Fawns, Troy Mauger and Brendan Barry.
Mr Mauger and Mr Barry joined the board as member directors at the end of the November 2023 annual general meeting.
Mr Fawns was returned to the board at the same time, after being re-elected in the same member director election preceding the meeting.
“Murray Irrigation Limited’s board of directors has agreed to work cooperatively together to resolve its current impasse,” MIL chair Philip Snowden said in a shareholder update.
“This follows a highly productive alternative dispute resolution (ADR) workshop in Albury on Monday, February 12.
“All directors contributed to identifying the group’s collective needs and options to ensure the board can operate effectively.
“Each participant committed to honour a series of milestones and behaviours by February 26, 2024.
“If these targets are not met, a general meeting will be called for late March 2024.
“Murray Irrigation will update shareholders as the Board works through this process.”
