Minor flood warning issued for Goulburn River from Lake Eildon to Seymour

The main flood peak along the Goulburn River is now at Murchison, where moderate flooding is occurring.

As these floodwaters extend downstream, moderate flooding will be possible at Shepparton and McCoys Bridge from late this week.

Releases from Lake Eildon have been increased to 5000 megalitres a day.

Minor flooding is occurring along the Goulburn River from Lake Eildon to Seymour.

The Goulburn River at Seymour is at 5.15m and falling, with minor flooding.

For reference, the river peaked at 6.8m on Monday, January 8.

The Goulburn River at Seymour is likely to fall below the minor flood level (3.80m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
