A grassfire on Benalla-Yarrawonga Rd north-east of Benalla on Tuesday afternoon, January 2, was controlled within hours after 21 vehicles responded.
The Benalla-Yarrawonga Rd was closed between Sydney Rd and Link Rd for several hours as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire had not been confirmed before the Yarrawonga Chronicle went to print.
