The Mulwala Water Ski Club Ski Show team has successfully defended their national title at the Australian Ski Show Championships.

In an incredible display of teamwork, precision, and skill on the water at Mulwala’s Max Kirwan Ski Park, the local team, which boasted skiers of all ages, delivered fantastic team and individual performances over the weekend.
President of Waterski and Wakeboard Australia Paul Hobbs praised the outstanding performances and the strength of the Australian Show Ski community.
Mr Hobbs highlighted “the high standard of competition and the unity that the sport brings across clubs and states in all disciplines.”
The Mulwala Ski Show Team finished first in the team championship, ahead of the Beverley Ski Team from Perth and the Southern Waters Ski Show Team from Melbourne.
A highlight of the event was the Mulwala Show Ski Team under-12 members, who put on an amazing performance and were presented with medals for their efforts.
Local skiers also excelled in the individual events on Friday, with Delaynee Moon finishing first in the Swivel Pairs event alongside Alisha Stewart. Delaynee also claimed second place in the Open Swivel event.
Boden Strawhorn and Kate Bailey again impressed in the Star Doubles event, proving they remain the best duo in Australia for this discipline.
In the jumps, Callan Ashcroft won the Freestyle event, while Izzy Ryan finished second behind Alisha Stewart in the women’s event. In the team jumps competition, the Beverley Ski Team edged out the Mulwala Show Ski Team for the gold.
On behalf of Ski Show Australia, Brutis Ryan thanked the athletes, volunteers, and supporters who made the championships a great success.
“From early mornings on the water to unforgettable performances under pressure, this community continues to raise the bar year after year,” he said.
