Current member Steph Ryan, also a member of the Nationals, announced last month she was stepping aside at the election.
Ms Cleeland was selected to run for the seat after a preselection ballot was held on August 9.
With her husband and two children, Ms Cleeland runs a superfine merino wool property and bee apiary at Tarcombe.
Ms Cleeland has worked as a regional and agricultural journalist for a range of publications, including Stock & Land.
“It’s a great honour to be endorsed as the Nationals’ candidate for Euroa,” Ms Cleeland said.
“I am deeply passionate and excited about working with the local community.
“I am determined to attract a fairer level of investment to our region, I want to make sure our voice is heard and goals realised.”
She said she was focused on greater government investment in health services, education, road and rail networks.
“I will work to narrow the investment gap between city and country health services, fight for improved high-speed train connectivity and attract investment in tourism to increase region’s destination identity,” she said.
Nationals state president Neil Pankhurst said Ms Cleeland had the work ethic and experience to be an excellent local member for the electorate.
“Annabelle has already been an influential voice for regional Victoria through her previous work and knows what it will take to deliver for our region,” Mr Pankhurst said.
At the last election in 2018, Ms Ryan won the seat comfortably, with 58.95 per cent of first preference votes and 65.44 per cent of the two-party preferred vote.
