Club Mulwala Marketing and Entertainment Coordinator Trish Storer said that the much-loved Oaks Day at ClubMulwala was a great success again this year with a sell-out crowd of around 140 ladies enjoyed a delicious two course meal, race-day activities, entertainment by Paul Vitullo and Antonia Maher and a great atmosphere.
“In addition to many activities including the popular Fashions on the Field, the club conducted a raffle with all proceeds donated to Helping Hands for Yarrawonga Health,” Ms Storer said.
“The attendees appreciated the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause, and we raised $787 which was amazing.
“The Oaks Day is always such a great event and we received wonderful feedback about the meal, the fun atmosphere, service and the entertainment.
“We can’t wait for next year!”
Mulwala Water Ski Club CEO Peter Duncan said the ski club had great attendance and an enjoyable day was had by all.
“The club was exceptionally happy with both Cup Day and Oaks Day festivities with just over 200 people at each event and all having a fabulous time on the Malibu Deck,” Mr Duncan said.
“The Ski Club thank local businesses Botanica Flowers and Plants Yarrawonga, Max’s BBQ and Brown Brothers Winery as well as entertainment Mystic & Co for the great tunes.
“Both were very successful days with great feedback from those who attended.”
Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort Marketing Manager Rob Alexander said Oaks Day was a great success with plenty of colour on show.
“It was another beautiful day at Yarra Golf for our Oaks Day Luncheon with several new and returning members and guests in attendance,” Mr Alexander said.
“Entertainer Paris Zachariou was at his bubbly best, and had the girls up and dancing in between races.
“We’d also like to make a special mention to Kylie and Robin from Pfeiffer Wines for their support of this year’s event.”
